The surprising effects of practicing Yoga in nature

Did you know that the space you choose for practicing Yoga can affect your experience of it?

There’s a considerable difference in space and surroundings from a Yoga class in a crowded city gym to a Yoga class surrounded by nature in a village or on a private island.

In a city gym, you’ll be in an indoor air-conditioned space. When you take your practice into nature, with the fresh air and many trees, you’re breathing fresh, air abundant in oxygen for your lungs, heart and brain.

When you practice in nature, you have a beautiful, organic soundtrack of birds singing and perhaps water flowing instead of recorded music and people talking. It will help develop your consciousness and appreciation of the environment and all its ecosystems and can be a reminder to live in harmony with the nature.

Practicing in nature also helps you develop your focus!
