Bali Psychodrama Retreat for Personal Renewal

“I think it is essential sometimes to retreat, to stop everything that you have been doing, to stop your beliefs and experiences completely, and look at them anew. You would then let fresh air into your mind, wouldn’t you? If you can do so, you would be open to the mysteries of nature and to things that are whispering about us, which you would not otherwise reach.” – J. Krishnamurti
Psychodrama for Personal Restoration, Renewal & Cultural Connection

PS We also host this retreat on February 10-15, 2019 if those dates work out best for you, kindly go to https://www.facebook.com/events/2005402793103894/.

J.L Moreno, the founder of psychodrama, once said to Sigmund Freud: “I start where you leave off. You analyze their dreams. I give them the courage to dream again. You analyze and tear them apart. I let them act out their conflicting roles and help them to put the parts back together again.”

*** Introduction to Psychodrama
Moreno crafted the word: “psychodrama” from the Greek, meaning: “the soul in action.” As Moreno also stated: “get into action instead of just talking, take the roles of the important people in your lives to understand them better, confront them imaginatively in the safety of the therapeutic theater, and most of all become more creative and spontaneous human beings.”

Whether you are experienced in this form of personal growth work, or totally new to this modality, if you are ready to explore who you are, where you have been, and where you desire to go in the future, this retreat is for you.

*** More than just a retreat
These retreats will combine 30+ hours of psychodrama sessions with diverse cultural adventures on the beautiful and mystical island of Bali in Indonesia, a place where the sacred and the mundane join together.

Included will be a trip to the famous Tanah Lot Temple, one of the ten most photographed sites in the world.

Free time for exploration and relaxation is also included.

***Certification
Participants will receive a certificate to document psychodrama hours, which, for those who so desire, may be used toward certification by the American Board of Examiners, the Korean Psychodrama Association, The North American Drama Therapy Association, and Therapeutic Spiral International.

*** Testimonials from former retreat participants:
Marie Bee, long-time resident of Bali and frequent participant in Mario’s psychodrama sessions states: “Mario leads us with talent, a wide span of experience and sensitivity that blend loving care, undivided attention, a deep sense of communication, and total respect for confidentiality. He guides us gently into putting together the somewhat hurt parts of our lives.”

Here is another unsolicited testimonial from an attendee at a workshop:

“Thank you, Mario, for your dedication and your very kind soul. You are a wonderful facilitator. I would like to tell you that I consider our Friday group session a wonderful piece of therapy for me, and as a result, two days later, I had a very long and open conversation with my mother, in which I managed to openly but gently express myself in a way I never thought I could, and it came naturally and her reaction and willingness to try to understand were pretty good. Although I still have work to do on myself, and don’t we all, I believe I’m one step closer to being the freedom I want to be. – Gabriella Ionescu –
